Song Options

all of us with different music taste were throwing song options at each other at this point i finally muted the group chat. i asked maryam to create a Spotify playlist where we can add songs and review them later. we all added songs we wanted but we cant use all of them can we?

OPTION 1

i love this song. Talwiinder is one of my favourite artist. i love punjabi pop. the cover of this album is everything. the aesthetics is gives off. i wanted our music video to be as colourfu;l as the cover of the song. a party or rave themed video. we rejected it as we had some of the shits planned which didn't fit the abstract video here.

OPTION 2

i wanted this to be our song for several reasons :

• i love Olivia

• the lyrics were a good fit for a narrative based video

• a high school love story is what narrative

• did i say i love Olivia? we liked the song but were confused about the story line. the idea was perfect but we wanted our video to be fictional but showing reality at the same time.
  

OPTION 3

if you don't like the weeknd or playboicarti i don't like you. this was another good option we liked for a performance based music video. we loved the lyrics but were short on actors and equipment for the video. our idea it to be a live performance based video where all the instruments and the performers gathered. but we also didn't want to use a song that is super popular and wanted to get underrated songs a light.

OPTION 4

this song was suggested by Maryam . she forced us to listen to it. the first time i did, i loved it right away. the music the lyrics the story it told was just perfect because of the range of ideas we could apply to the song.

OPTION 5

aeman suggested this song as she wanted our story to be a sad breakup story. her idea of the storyline was the girl moving o n faster then the guy but they both ended up moving on. the guy took longer to move on as he was anxiously attached. we liked the idea and saw it as a potential conceptual video but rejected due to lack of actors and the shoot location exceeded our budget.

we ended up choosibg medieval as our song.
